Come join us in this exciting Sunday evening plan! One of the most successful Spanish TV Series produced this year in a double bill session. A three-hours marathon screening with a break in between to enjoy Spanish drinks & tapas.
The hugely successful, worldwide smash hit TV series on the big screen! Maricon Perdido/ Queer You Are is the coming-of-age story of a town boy in search of his own identity. Inspired by the life of Bob Pop himself, the fiction illustrates different stages of the protagonist’s life from the eighties when he was an overweight teenager and a fan of musicals, passing by his student stage in Madrid, to the present when he becomes a writer.
Roberto, are you queer? the 12-year-old is asked by Bea, his best and only friend. This question unleashes a search for identity that persists ten years later, when in Chueca, and with the dream of being a writer, he will try to reformulate his life, and address the question of who he is and how he can be happy in such a hostile world.
Co-presented by Roze Filmdagen.
